Who runs Brainwired
Brainwired is operated by The Harv Company V.O.F. (a Dutch general partnership). KvK 75772450, registered at Lange Nieuwstraat 499 A, 1971 GE IJmuiden, Netherlands. Sarah K. is the voice you read in the product and emails. The Harv Company V.O.F. is the data controller for GDPR purposes and the party you contact for any privacy request.
What we collect
To sell you a digital journal and email your download link, we collect your email address and payment details. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC, USA, trading in the EU via Paddle.com Market Ltd., Ireland) as our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy is the legal seller to you, collects and remits VAT, and holds your card data. We never see or store your card number. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
If you opt in to the 3-page preview or newsletter, we store your email with our email provider (Beehiiv) until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies. No first-party cookies, no third-party cookies, no cross-site tracking. That means no cookie banner, because there's nothing to consent to.
Browser storage we use
We use a small amount of browser localStorageto remember a few choices you make on the site. This is stored on your device, never sent to our servers, and never shared with anyone. It's not a cookie and it can't track you across other sites.
- Launch bar dismissal (key:
bw-launchbar-dismissed): remembers that you closed the launch countdown bar so it doesn't pop back up. - Exit-intent popup (keys:
bw-exit-dismissed,bw-exit-captured-at,bw-exit-captured): a 90-day flag so the “wait, grab the preview” popup doesn't hassle you again for three months. - Preview gate (key:
bw-preview-captured): remembers you submitted the form on /previewsso we don't ask twice.
You can clear all of this at any time by clearing site data in your browser. Nothing on the site breaks if you do.
What we don't do
- Sell or rent your data to anyone. Ever.
- Share your email with third parties outside our email and payment providers.
- Track you across the web with third-party cookies.
- Run advertising pixels, Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or session-replay tools.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analyticsfor aggregate page-view counts. It's privacy-first, uses no cookies, and doesn't collect personal data or build profiles. Fully GDPR-compliant without a consent banner.
Processors we work with
To run the site and deliver your order, a small set of vendors handle parts of the data on our behalf. Here's the full list:
- Lemon Squeezy(Lemon Squeezy LLC, USA): seller of record. Handles checkout, card data, VAT, refunds, and download delivery. They're not a processor but the seller; we receive your email address from them for support and updates.
- Beehiiv (Beehiiv Inc., USA): email service provider. Stores your email address if you opt in to the preview or newsletter. Relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for EU transfers.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., USA): DNS, email routing (for sarah@getbrainwired.com forwarding), and caching in front of the site. Sees request metadata, not page content.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA): hosts the website and handles request logs (IP + user agent, kept short-term for abuse prevention).
- Vercel Analytics (EU-region routing where available): aggregate, cookie-free page-view stats. No personal data, no tracking profiles.
- Sentry (Functional Software Inc., USA, EU data residency enabled): error monitoring. Receives stack traces and browser metadata when errors occur on the site. No PII payload sent by us.
Where your data goes
Most of these processors (Beehiiv, Vercel, Cloudflare, Sentry, and Lemon Squeezy's US side) are based in or route data through the United States. For those transfers, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (for DPF-certified vendors) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for vendors not yet certified. If a vendor stops complying with one of those, we'll switch or note it here.
How long we keep things
- Email-only subscribers (preview / newsletter, no purchase): kept until you unsubscribe, plus 24 months of inactivity, then deleted.
- Customer order records: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law (Algemene Wet inzake Rijksbelastingen art. 52). This is the only category we keep that long.
- Support email threads: 24 months after the last message, then archived or deleted.
- Server logs (IP, user agent): 30 days rolling for abuse prevention, then purged.
Your rights (GDPR + CCPA)
- Ask what data we have on you.
- Ask us to delete all your data.
- Ask us to export your data (data portability).
- Object to processing or restrict it.
- Opt out of all marketing at any time (every email has a one-click unsubscribe).
- File a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. You always have this right, with or without contacting us first.
Email sarah@getbrainwired.com with the subject “Data request”and we'll action it within 30 days (usually much faster).
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are handled under Dutch and EU law.
